How you can Support
The benefits of rural household electrification are many and with a little support the federations are ready to take up this issue head on and ensure that all their members homes are electrified. The federations are setting up an Energy Fund of about Rs.1Lakh each which will be used to provide soft loans for their members, leverage loan funds from other sources, negotiate with suppliers for discounts on bulk purchases and so on.
Once all the member homes are electrified it would be used to address other energy related needs of the members such as smokeless chulahs, inproved woodstoves, LPG etc based on the need and context of the members. So your onetime contribution will help the federation address the needs of many members and then later on to meet the other related needs.
The federations are today emerging as a platform to meet the various development needs of their members and helping them to take charge of their development with a little support from each one of you.
You could sponsor
- at Rs.5000/- per family
- at a minimum of Rs.10000/- and multiples of Rs.1000/- additionally to the Energy Revolving Fund at the Federation
- Be a light a Home Goodwill Ambassador to spread the message
