All the villge people are belongs to scheduled cast and most of them are poor comes under below poverty line. It is interior, not having frequent transport facilities. The villgers created a new oorani with the assistance of DHAN Foundation through philanthropy scheme. The villgers contributed 25% of the total cost of Rs 280000/- for creating new oorani. Adequet storage capacity,fencing for preventing the entry of the animals, inlet for filling the rain water in to the oorani and step construction for fetching the water are the works done in the oorani Status of Drinking Water in the Villagewater turbidity is higher in newly created oorani. Consumption of this water with turbidity gives problem for the health of the people. Direct fetching of water creates contamination of the water. Villgers need one draw well to this oorani for overcoming the water turbidity and contamination problem. Villgers come forward to contribute 25% of the total cost of the budget by cash and kind to construct a new draw well in the oorani. Way Forward and Expected BenefitsIf draw well is constructed to this oorani, the turbid water will be filtered, contamibnation of the water will be controlled, people will get potable water for drinking and people will be free from water borne diseases. Over the above budget DHAN Foundation contributes Rs. 35,000 by providing professional and techno managerial support to the community. |
