DHAN Foundation organises a policy workshop on mainstreaming small millets in our diets with the involvement of Ministry of Agriculture. Farmers and eminent persons from Government, NGOs, and small millet value chain and research organisations are expected to participate in the policy workshop.
This workshop is expected to bring out concrete policy support needed for mainstreaming small millets at State and Central level for better functioning of small millet value chain actors in the spheres of
Improving production,
Development of decentralized processing infrastructure,
Market development and
Promoting household consumption.
This policy workshop is organised as part of the Scaling up Small Millet Post-harvest and Nutritious Food Products Project, which is supported under Canadian International Food security Research Fund (CIFSRF) by International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
