The secrets of palatial houses are hand made tiles of Athangudi. The artisans are taught by their forefathers over generations. It is being exported to various countries and states. The film gives step wise process documentation of splendid designs by mixing simple ingredients and handworks. Such tiles are used only for decorating the floors. As the preparation is unique, so is the art of laying it on the floor. Only experienced persons can do the alignment and fixing. Almost 400 families of Athangudi depend on this craft for livelihood.
