Arittapatti Heritage Village of Madurai district is one of the prominent Heritage villages of Madurai district on the Traditional Trade Route of Tamil Nadu with its history and archaeological evidence for more than 2000 years. The 2nd century Brahmi inscription in Natural Jain cave and 8th century Pandya Rock cut temple and damaged 13th century structured temple with stone inscriptions of late Pandia are some of the Heritage assets. It has more than 52 water bodies with more bio-diversities. It is situated 24 km from Madurai and 3 km from Narasingapatti of Madurai to Melur Road.
