What DHAN Foundation Offers ?

The Foremost Thing:

DHAN Foundation does offer people who work with it the normal benefits available with any other organisation – though perhaps less than what its people would earn if they were to work in a business environment. But more important than these benefits is the benefit, which DHAN Foundation indirectly offers by providing the opportunity to work towards the betterment of the lives of fellow human beings. Working with DHAN Foundation means working towards a more just society. The satisfaction this provides, we believe is the most important thing, working with DHAN Foundation provides.

Persons with a post-graduate professional qualification are offered two starting increments.

Similarly increments are offered to take care of the relevant work experience in the case of mid-career entrants.

Other monetary benefits:

The following other monetary benefits are available to the employees working with DHAN Foundation.

House Rent Allowance:

DHAN Foundation offers 20 to 30 percent (depending on the location) of the basic salary as house rent allowance.

Provident Fund:

12% of the basic salary is offered as employer’s contribution to the provident fund account of the employee. The employee is expected to contribute a minimum of 12% as his contribution. DHAN Foundation operates a separate Provident fund trust which is beneficial to the employees in that it offers immediate settlement of claims.

Gratuity:

All employees who have worked for more than five years are eligible to receive gratuity according to standard norms at the time of their superannuating or resignation. In case of death, Gratuity is offered even if experience is less than five years

Medical Allowance:

The employees are eligible for a medical allowance of Rs.2400 per annum. Part of this money is used to enrol the employees in a Medical Insurance scheme of the General Insurance Corporation for claims upto Rs.20,000.

Accident Insurance Coverage:

All DHANites are covered under a group insurance scheme of value Rs.300,000 to compensate medical expenses and death claims arising out of accidents.

Maternity Allowance:

Rs.8000 is offered as maternity allowance for the first two children.

Non-Monetary Benefits:

The leave available to DHANites is given under this.

Casual leave, Sick leave, Privilege leave, Maternity leave.

Sabbatical leave:

Available at the rate of one month per year of completed service for undertaking studies, writing books, attending conferences etc.

Other benefits:

DHAN Foundation also sends its staff to participate in short courses and workshops that would help improve their abilities. It also arranges for in-house training to improve the knowledge and skills of the employees. The nature of work at DHAN Foundation also gives the opportunity to visit lot of other organisations both within the country and abroad, which is a great learning opportunity.
