Health and Well-being Inclusion in Solapur and Osmanabad Regions

Ensuring last mile connectivity

Community call centre in the region is reaching 100 member families on daily basis. Nodal persons entrusted the responsibilities for the last-mile connectivity ensuring in conceiving the overall well-being of the members and their families. Nodal persons are maintaining daily registers recording the overall status of the member families with whom they’re connected with. Members requiring special health support are facilitated to the nearby medical facilities in their own respective blocks.

Virtual Orientation on ‘Stress Management’

Dr. Dhananjay Ashturkar, Psychiatrist from Pune, resourced the virtual training session organized on ‘Stress Management/Psychological Immunity Building’. Thirty-four members from people institutions, nineteen People staff and seven DHAN staff across the six locations viz., M.Wedha, Vairag, Solapur, Tuljapur, Washi, Lohara of the region have participated in the session.


‘Types of stresses, reasons for high stress levels, effects of stressful living on health and well-being of the family; the positive health benefits pertaining to leading a content life were elaborated in detail during the session’

Nutritional Inclusion

For the nutrition and livelihoods enhancement of the member families, two awareness programmes – Dietary Management and Significance of Nutrition Garden – have been organized in collaboration with KVK Osmanabad.

228 members, 40 people staff and 12 DHAN staff across the six locations of the region have participated in the dietary management awareness programme. Preparing a balanced nutritive diet and the health benefits associated with managing diet on daily basis were highlighted during the programme.

Significance of the nutrition garden – its ensured nutrition for the family as well as the vegetables demand in the market – amidst the covid-19 lockdown was concept seeded virtually to 120 members, 34 people staff and 12 DHAN staff across the six locations of the region.

Webinar on ‘Bank schemes for Business Entrepreneurship’

To transform the members and their families from survival to self-employment, the region has curated a bespoke webinar on ‘Bank schemes for Business Entrepreneurship’. Mr. Vishwas Vetal, the director of RSETI, Solapur region, acted as the resource person for the webinar, wherein he has enriched the 180 participants – members (130 Nos), People Staff (38 Nos) and DHAN staff (12 Nos) – with various available bank opportunities, eligibility criteria and the preparatory works for applying for the projects.
